We’ve had a lovely stay + were lucky with the weather. Our toddler loved the house, garden, stream + lane – ideal for collecting conkers. A good selection of walks locally using public footpaths straight from the house. We walked over the moor to Chatsworth. Lovely fire to come back to in the evening. Very relaxing week + great family time.

Thank you so much for such a lovely house and the welcome pack on arrival. Aside from Chatsworth, recommend Hardwick Hall. For a walk the Monsal trail, joined from White lodge and return via Cressbrook Mill, is very beautiful if you start early before the crowds. A wonderful week, with great weather!

We’ve had such a lovely, peaceful and refreshing week here @ West Barn, such a beautiful house – full of lovely, tasteful things and great, well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed walking locally; up in the dark peak, including Mam Tor. Bakewell + Buxton definitely worth a visit. We received a good welcome at St Thomas church, Brampton + the Gulab curry house in Chesterfield. Thank you XX

Lovely week, superb barn, beautiful views, peaceful setting. Highlights; Bolsover castle, the Monsal cycle trail. Children 5&7 loved the animals park & the Jungle play centre

We’ve had a relaxing week, thanks to the comfortable house and breathtaking views. Highlights included Heights of Abraham; Chatsworth (impressive modern sculpture), Crich Tramway Village (kids enjoyed woodland walk)Cromford Mill (excellent audio tour and bookshop in village – Scarthin Bookshop); Buxton Crescent Experience also recommended.
