Stream the highest we have ever seen

7.11.19 – We had been watching the flow of the stream get more impressive all day. The levels and volume of water actually increased into the evening but it was too dark to video it.

As the rain stopped, the torrent gradually eased by the next morning. We went to sleep with a healthy ‘roar’ of the water with a window cracked open for the night.

Persistent rain in the midlands for days even caused the closure of Sheffield’s Meadowhall shopping complex, with dozens of shoppers forced to camp overnight.
