Lovely spot for (another) family get together (pre-school to pensionable!) Very comfortable + well equipped cottage. We enjoyed buzzard spotting. The walk to the playground in Holymoorside via Birkinshaw wood, Hardwick Hall (house & history), Chatsworth (gardens and playground), and Edensor Tea rooms.

We’ve had a lovely stay + were lucky with the weather. Our toddler loved the house, garden, stream + lane – ideal for collecting conkers. A good selection of walks locally using public footpaths straight from the house. We walked over the moor to Chatsworth. Lovely fire to come back to in the evening. Very relaxing week + great family time.
